Residential Conveyancer – Permanent – Torquay

The Position

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join our busy and growing Property team covering the Torquay and Totnes area.

You will report directly to the Head of the Property team and will have a high degree of autonomy in the conduct of your own matters and files. You will be supported by a team based across both offices and work alongside the Commercial Property teams.

Our Property team is growing and you will assist the Residential Team Head with developing relationships and identifying new referral channels from across the Bay. This presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Conveyancer to join a very well respected and successful team and offer quality and challenging work.

You will ideally be a qualified Licensed Conveyancer, CILEX qualified or have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the property sector with a desire to develop your skills and experience. You should be able to demonstrate:

  • strong procedural and technical skills in relation to all aspects of property work,
  • sound working knowledge of regulatory and procedural requirements appertaining to all aspects of Residential work including a good understanding of SDLT procedures,
  • excellent client care and communication skills,
  • an ability to work under exacting timescales,
  • sound commercial awareness,
  • proficient IT skills and experience in practice management systems preferred,
  • participate in developing and marketing the firm’s Property Services.
