Private Client Solicitor/Legal Executive – Permanent – Torquay

The Position

We are seeking to appoint a Solicitor or Legal Executive with a minimum of two years PQE, to join our busy Private Client Team, based primarily in our Harbourside Torquay office, with the opportunity to split your time between Torquay, Totnes and home working if desired.

We are a Lexcel accredited, successful and well-respected legal practice in Torbay, with offices in Torquay and Totnes. Providing a wide range of legal services, we have 42 employees who work across our Family, Litigation, Property, Private Client and Corporate Teams.

The Position

The principal job requirement will be Will writing, but there will also be the opportunity to carry out Court of Protection work, Estate Administration, Inheritance Tax Planning, and completion of Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Our team has STEP and SFE qualified members who will be on hand to provide advice and assistance to enable you to develop your knowledge and skills and improve your ability.

Through experience gained to date, you will be able to demonstrate:-

  • sensitivity to clients’ needs and situations with emphasis on client care and good communication;
  • a professional, organised and enthusiastic approach;
  • sound working knowledge of the regulatory and procedural requirements appertaining to all aspects of Private Client work.
  • the ability to work to exacting timescales;
  • a willingness to promote the firm and develop personal connections and market the services of the department.
