Update to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS)

HMRC has, over the course of the weekend, published an update to the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme (CJRS).

A number of important issues have been clarified, for example, whether a Furloughed employee can start a new job with another employer (meaning they might end up earning 80% of the old salary and 100% of a new one), whether Company Directors can be furloughed, whether commission and non-monetary benefits can also be reclaimed and whether employees can be furloughed multiple times.

Unfortunately, lots of areas still remain unclear, for example, can employees take annual leave when on furlough and are employees who TUPE into a business after 28 February covered?
