Refunds on Lasting Power of Attorney registration fees

If you have a Lasting Power of Attorney which was registered with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) between 1st April 2013 and 31st March 2017 you might be entitled to a rebate as the OPG overcharged for registration between these dates.

The amount of the rebate depends on the date of registration, but it could be as much as £54 per document. You will also get interest at 0.5 % on any refund you are due.You can claim the refund as the Donor of the LPA or you can ask your Attorneys to claim it on your behalf.

How do I claim?
