WiTT receive a lesson in Self-Compassion

Set against the stunning backdrop of the bay at Living Coasts, the women of Torbay and Totnes gathered on the 6th February for the first WiTT event of the year.

Introductions, conversations and general networking took place over coffee and bacon rolls before everyone sat down to a presentation by Phil Sampson of Sampson Hall. The topic for the day was ‘Leading with Self Compassion’. Everyone agreed that it was one of the best presentations they’d received in a long time and many of Phil’s thought-provoking points on looking after ourselves really hit home. A big thank you to Phil and to Sandra for joining us.

As always, the morning finished with a raffle; we raised over £40 for Beep (Business Empowering Employment Programme). Sandra Sampson is a trustee of Beep, a charity which runs courses to support young people with gaining employment. We’re delighted to have had this opportunity to support them with fundraising for the next set of courses.

Our next event is a repeat of the very popular cocktail making evening at Coco’s. This takes place on Thursday 2nd May at 6.30pm. Tickets are £30 which includes the cocktail making, a buffet and most importantly 2 cocktails! To book your place please email Kate Gillette at Boyce Hatton on [email protected]
