Promotions at Boyce Hatton
Boyce Hatton are delighted to announce two promotions within the firm.
Cheryl Smith completed her training to become a Solicitor at Boyce Hatton and is a member of the Commercial Property team undertaking a broad variety of commercial work including sales and purchases of Guesthouses, Restaurants and Bars, Development work and transactions involving SIPPS. Cheryl also acts for landlords and tenants alike in connection with both new and renewal leases or assignments and assists the Corporate department with the property aspects of their business transactions. Cheryl has been made a Partner with effect from 1st May 2018.
Christine is a Solicitor and Accredited member of Solicitors for the Elderly. She has over 25 years’ experience of drafting wills and trusts; obtaining Grants of Representation and the administration of estates both large and small. She has a particular interest in the affairs of the elderly including the preparation of Powers of Attorney, applications to the Court of Protection and managing peoples' affairs. She has been keen to make Boyce Hatton a “Dementia Friendly” firm, working in partnership with Alzheimer’s Research UK to deliver training on Dementia Awareness to all our staff. Christine is now the Head of our Private Client Department and has been made an Associate from 1st May 2018.
