South Devon College Apprenticeship awards
At Boyce Hatton we are proud of our apprentices and have been fully committed to helping South Devon college develop their apprenticeship programme within the legal field.
On 8th March, we were lucky enough to attend the South Devon College Apprenticeship Awards held at the Imperial Hotel. This is an annual event which recognises and celebrates the success of the apprenticeship programme across the South West region.
From 1,540 apprentices that had undertaken the apprenticeship programme nominees for an award had been nominated in fourteen categories covering everything from Automotive through to Health Care.
In addition to recognising the achievements of the apprentices the College also recognised the contribution made to the apprenticeship programme by employers from across the region through two Business awards – Large Apprentice Employer of the year (50 or more employees) and Small Apprentice Employer of the Year (49 or fewer employees). Boyce Hatton were nominated in the latter category.
We are delighted to say that we were successful in winning the award and that this year we are the Small Apprentice Employer of the Year. The Judges recognised the commitment that the business had made to the programme and the support it had given to the College particularly through its association with Women in Torbay.
This would not have been achieved without the commitment of our own apprentices both those that have completed the programme and those still studying.
